Our Story
My childhood Saturdays were spent riding the bus to downtown Jacksonville, Florida with my Nana, the original Mildred Newberry. We were off to visit the beautiful department stores Cohen Bros, Furchgott’s and the “five and dime” Woolworth’s. For us, shopping was an exciting adventure—an event—that fed my young imagination. The gleaming display cases offered glimpses into a dazzling world of possibilities. We never returned without a treasure.
At Mildred Newberry, we have recreated that magical experience of entering a shop as a destination to inspire creativity. Like the department stores of my childhood, our highly curated collection of goods includes everything from whimsical home decor to unique stationery and playful accessory collections.
